Peanut's Special Day

Yesterday our little Peanut turned 6 ;)

Last week she picked up

from the library and it was such a cute little story that it was the inspiration for her special day.  The girls had so much fun listening to all the different toppings used to help turn a Plain Vanilla Cupcake into something special.  The most interesting part (for me) of the story is that there is a recipe in the back of the book to make your own cupcakes and icing.

So of course we will be using these recipes and the girls imagination to make yummy treats.

Here is our dry run, literally ;)

And voila our cupcakes decorated by today's special little baker

All the Munchkins, even Hubby, liked the cupcakes ;)  Yay! another recipe to add to our growing dessert category ;p

Pumpkin was very confident that she "...can do it all by herself!"  but Mommy did not want to put out any fires ;)

 Happy Birthday to Youuuuuuuuu!

Yum! Yum! Cookie Time!!!!!

I think that this is a BRILLIANT idea from Melissa at Operation Nice.  So what LML (Love My Life) moment did I have today?!?!?

I am Blessed to have three girls that LOVE to eat even those pesky Green Veggies, Yup they love 'em.  So when I go off and do something like this I do not feel like a BAD Mama ;)

{Monster cookies for my little Monsters and the decadent dark chocolate raspberry filled cupcake for Mochi Mama}

LOVE this Idea so much I would like to start a Blog Party to share those little moments that make us So happy and blessed today.

Music Monday ~

Just one of our favorite songs here at the house - but what I really love is hearing Pumpkin singing and dancing with this song.  It gives my heart wings and I get a smile that lasts all day ;)

Rain + 3 girls yeilds...

Giggly, wiggly mayhem ;)

With the heat the last few weeks we have been house bound during the day and today we had a little reprieve with some lovely rain.  How could I refuse the three little faces when they asked if they could go out and play?!?!  I know when I was little (okay even to this day) I love to play in the rain, so out they went.  And it went a little like this...

Unadulterated joy ;)

Pumpkin showing off her cheeky side

Peanut's singing in the rain, Just singing in the rain!

Oh, no!!!  It's stopping...

=D

When was the last time YOU played in the rain?

101 degrees and YOU are having TEA!!!!!

Tea time with me and the girls calls for Green tea and Chocolate Chip Scones!

Would have had photos of the Munchkins but they inhaled their treat too fast for Mochi Mama to capture their Mmmm's

For some crazy reason I never tried to make scones ~ no scone pan and thought it would be involved.  But, today thanks to Annie's Eats we were able to have a delectable and EASY treat this afternoon. I am thinking that I might change these up next time by adding cranberries, or blueberries, or butterscotch ... Why not?!?!  I deviated from Annie's recipe and left out the additional sugar on top and no parchment... I used a cooking spray on the pan and it worked out beautifully ;)

So go ahead and check out Annie's very Yummy site and make a batch today.

Oh, I just had a thought.... what if we make a batch the first day of school for breakfast and send some with the girls to give to their teachers?!?!

Music Monday

Currently in our house we have been listening a wide mix of music the past week.  This song however always gets me singing. Yup!  Even the rap, which I can not do well and the girls just look at me like I have gone round the bend.

Happy Monday Everyone =D

New photo challenge from Mama and The Dudes ~ Feet

Photobucket

Oh my goodness, baby/kid feet are my Achilles heel!  I had the perfect photo but silly Mochi deleted it off the memory stick BEFORE saving it to the hard drive! Grrrrrrr.  No worries! After some digging and help from Hubby we chose this one....

Girl Trip 2010 ~ part 1

I got it into my head that I could take the girls this summer to visit ALL of their Grandparents.  The girls have a total of five homes to visit and only two are in the same state.  Hubby was kind enough to let us leave for a total of four weeks to visit everyone.  My Japanese photo snapping genes were in full force over the trip and I will not bore you with the roughly 1,800+ photos. Now that I am back at home and have consistent internet access we can show you a glimpse of our trip.

First stop on  our trip was to visit the girls Granny in ....

Yes, we did try to get a photo at EVERY state line.  Operative word TRY.

I did have the chance to take some artsy fartsy photos while walking around Granny's property.  These little beauties were on the side of the very long winding drive way.  What do you think?  I have more that I am going to be playing with and will post later ;)

The Munchkins and their cousins had a blast splishing and splashing in a natural spring.  Granny lives right off this road and it is so peaceful and the kiddos all had fun just going out and exploring.  100 yards from her drive we took a right into the trees and we were at the little swimming hole.  A little place of heaven on a hot and sticky day :)

For some reason I love this photo!  Copper and the Munchkins feet are so cute.  They were all brushing him and then they were able to get on and take a little ride.  He is such a patient and sweet horse, think helping with the horses was one of their favorite things to do while there.

Next stop... Maryland to visit Grandpa and Halmeoni (girls just pronounced it Harmony).

... and twist?!?!?

I missed Music Monday this week and so I thought why not put out the song that has me in stiches with laughter.  The Munchkins love to sing along to this song whenever we hear it channel surfing during our recent road trip.

Not sure what the Twist is but this song makes me smile and wanna dance.

Hope everyone havaing a fantabulous week ;)

First Monday Minute

I thought that I would try something different today so here is Ian's Monday Minute

Monday Minute

This week co hosted by Jenn of Brown Eyed Girl

Brown Eyed Girl Jenn

They make up the questions and brown-eyed Deb has answers.

Describe your life in one word.

Extraordinary

Is there something you wish you had learned how to do as a child?

I wish I learned how to play the piano.

Who has been the biggest influence on your life?

I would have to say my family.  Without them I would not be the crazy Little Mochi I am today ;)

What is your greatest dream/hope/aspiration?

To have three happy, healthy girls that grow up believing that they can accomplish anything that their enormous hearts desire.

Do you believe you have reached your full potential?  Why/why not?

Oh my goodness NO!  Trying to learn something new everyday ;)

If you liked the questions this week click the buttons to visit Ian and Jenn and link up ;)
