Simplicity Photo Challenge ~ Snapshot

The challenge this week is Snapshot...

Pumpkin put together the craziest outfit yet and I had to get a quick photo, lucky for me it came in handy to submit for this photo challenge ;)  By the way her face kinda shows what mine looked like when I saw her come down the stairs.

My Day....

The girls were a riot today after school all due to the ever popular Cootie Catcher!!!  Pumpkin calls it a Cootie Cutter LoL ;)  Squirt was given one today and had to share with her sisters and play on the way to the library.  It looked a little like this ;)

 

It was so much fun to hear them playing, sharing and giggling in the car ... Definitely one of those I Love Being a Mom Today Day ;)

Meet Me on Monday ~

Questions:

1. Do you wear socks to bed?
NO!  Can not stand socks on my feet.... there is a No shoe rule at our house and well if I am not wearing shoes why would I wear socks ?!?!

2. Do you have any pets?
Yes ;)  One basinji  named Mufasa and he likes to think he IS the king in our house ;)

3. What topping(s) do you like on your pizza?

Mushrooms and Canadian Bacon 

4. What time do you go to bed?
No set time.... try to get to bed before 11 pm

5. Would you rather get free chocolate for one year or free potatoes forever?
Easy!  Chocolate for a year!   I mean look at that and tell me you want potatoes and mean it ;)

Art in the Park

Very often I get GREAT ideas and for one reason or another I do not act or initiate them.  NoT today!!!!  Squirt LOVES art and I wanted to find a way to nurture this for her.   I would hate for this passion to fall by the way side as she grows older because I did not provide opportunities for her to develop/ enjoy art.  So Art in the Park was born and this is what it looked like....

No prompting necessary... they immediately went to work

The girls had a blast and requested Art in the Park EVERY week ;)  A little self reminder to not have analysis paralysis and just go with an idea that moves me and feels right.

Favorite Part so far today

Besides sneaking little bits of this and that when cooking / baking this is my favorite part of cooking with my Little Pumpkin.....

Here she is cleaning off the spoon after making a batch of rice crispy treats for a play date after we get her sisters from school.  She insisted that we take these treats and red grapes for snack ;) 

One of the other things that I love is the fact that we HAVE to have music on so we can dance and cook at the same time.  Today she wanted music from the Puppini Sisters...



She killed me today with her little wiggles and giggles while mixing. When all three are here it is a party in the kitchen ;)

A Wee Bit of Me Wednesday

In an effort to put my self out there more so you guys get to know me a bit I thought I would play along with Leigh with her Wee Bit of Me Wednesday.  So here goes....



{one} what’s your favorite day of the week and why?Monday... weird I know but I love the start of a new week ;)

{two} if you could have a glimpse of your future, would you choose to see it and what time would you want to see?No.... I also do not read the last page of the book either to see who done it.

{three} if you could be any animal, which animal would you be? Green Sea Turtle they live such a long and peaceful life in the sea.

{four} do you have a lucky number? Not really... if I HAD to chose a # I would have to say 3. 

{five} if you could bring one famous person back from the dead, who would it be and why?Oh goodness this is a hard question... I have no earthly idea but I am sure it would probably be a family member.

{six} fill in the blank: peanut butter and ____________.peanut butter and chocolate.

{seven} would you rather live by the mountains or by the beach?The beach hands down!  I have always lived on the coast or an island so my stint here in Texas is a bit hard for me.

{eight} do you have any tattoos? None... thought about it but too chicken to get one... I have a fear of needles

{nine} if you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?travel

{ten} what is your favorite all time movie?Arsenic and Old Lace

What did you do today ?!?!

Playing with a new Meme today... Friend Makin Monday over at Silver Lining.  This week is  Today...

 Walked  two sweet girls to school...  started 2nd and 1st grades ;)

Walked one sad Pumpkin back home for some Mommy School :) 

Ran some errands... my favorite aisle at the Asian Market {Japanese Crackers}

Now Pumpkin and I are just waiting to go and get her sisters from school and hear about all the fun things that they did today. :)

It is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our tears.  We are tied to the ocean and when we go to the sea ~ whether it is to sail or to watch it ~ we are going back form whence we came.
