Here is a summery song with the kettle drums, island beat, and a singer that looks like Prince with dreadlocks ^_^ to get your week off on a lighter step. The girls and I love this song and you should see those little feet dancing around while doing our 5 minute tidy!
New song from the lovely Taylor Swift, which the girls absolutely adore. I love this song it is a bit melancholy and sad but when you consider that it is part of the Hunger Games Soundtrack it's perfect.
We hope that you enjoy this song and are wondering if you are excited about seeing the Hunger Game movie? I am a bit curious to see how the movie will be compared to the book, I generally tend to like the books over the movies.
"Don’t be fooled by your emptiness, there’s so much more room for happiness"
Skylar Grey is becoming a favorite on our playlist... Kaskade has been a regular for awhile now so when I found them together we were so happy. Just another reason I like dance music.. it takes a lovely artist with an amazing dj and you can love a song all over again.
Currently we are on our Christmas Break and the girls have gravitated to this group we stumbled upon Pandora one day. What they loved are the instruments ~ they are hollow and very modern. No boring ole Stradivarius here!
We hope that all you Lovelies are having a wonderful Christmas Holiday.
P.S. Visit Storynory for a great little audio stories to keep the little ones occupied.
Love this song! I will have to give it to the Twilight movies when it comes to their soundtracks.
Another song that is a sad but I for some reason love that we are listening to lately. Vivid lyric that jumped out at me the first time I heard the song... 'You are going to catch a cold from the ice in your soul'
What new song or artist that is getting a lot of playtime on your play list?
I might like this song. The past few days I have found myself singing or humming this song and I am not at all annoyed by it. We hope that you like this song as much as the girls and I do.
The Girls and I watched Lemonade Mouth this weekend and they LOVED it! They liked the songs on the radio but now that they have seen the movie they LOVE their songs. It has been requested that we get the cd so they can hear it all the time ~ Heaven help me!
Here is a little bit of an updated version of music I grew up listening to.
Every time I hear this type of music I think of my Mom and of our time in Okinawa. She just recently performed this song with her dance/drum group in FL. I wish that the girls and I lived closer so we could participate in her troupe. So for now we will settle for listening to these songs :)
‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
And what if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise'
This is what the Munchkins are listening to now.... why is it that this song is always stuck in my head? I know it is either always on the radio and or the Girls are singing it.
Think that I will have to play my list a tad more than the girls to help de~ Beiber {like my new word} my brain ;)
What is in your playlist that you are loving right now?
Every little girl has a FAVORITE fairy tale and Pumpkin's was always Rapunzel. I would have to read her the story over and over since she was a little baby. The other day she requested the song from the movie Tangled and it is starting to haunt me in my sleep. Several mornings I have woken up humming this song only to find her humming it too :)
My Little Sister is living in Hawaii and has introduced us to Kalohe Kai. This is the girls favorite song right now :) Hope you enjoy and it brings some warmth to us all here stateside :)
I am a stay at home mom looking to make the most of this adventure by trying my hand at photography, crafts, cooking, and teaching Japanese to the girls. Most importantly to make wonderful memories and bring back traditions with my three amazing daughters.
