Here is a beautiful video that Pumpkin absolutely loves from Astronomy Picture of the Day!  I love the way the clouds mimic water and the lapse photography of the starry sky is memorizing.  When you find a few minutes grab your tea and get comfy and relax with this amazing video.

My little bookworms

Today was a half day at school so to fill up the other half we made the trek to the library ;)

Pumpkin previewing her books she chose to check out today.  Love those illustrations and of course a book about PINK.

Pumpkin's FAVORITE stories ;)

 Squirt and Peanut were so excited to do their homework in the library.  Very proud of my little scholars ;)

Squirts is very proud of her penmanship and takes every opportunity to practice cursive writing.

We left with a big bag of books, completed homework and time to spare to hit some shoppes before the rain storm hit ;)

Wordless Wendsday ~ Snack time!

Quick Noodles

Here is an idea to use up all those yummy zucchini that are starting to come out of your garden... Zucchini noodles! I know that it is not a new idea but I love that the Girls  think  these are the only type of noodles to have with your meatballs.

So here is what you need to make these noodles:  tons of zucchini and a mandolin or potato peeler. 

Here is our mandolin that is probably older than I am and it still works like a charm and sharp as all get out too!  I used the largest plate to give thick shreds to simulate a noodle.

Once you have your noodles heat a pan with some olive oil.  Saute the noodles till they are tender and then serve immediately with your sauce and meatballs.

Poppy

All along the roadside and in medians there are wildflowers bursting with color. Of all those beauties I would have to say that the Poppy is my favorite ;)

Pumpkin and I had a detour at the library and romped around in a section of wildflowers. 

Planning on a trip back this weekend with all my girls to have some photos taken.  Hoping to get a good shot of them for a Father's Day gift ~ shhhhhh ;)

Monday Music ~Somebody

The Girls and I watched Lemonade Mouth this weekend and they LOVED it!  They  liked the songs on the radio but now that they have seen the movie they LOVE their songs.  It has been requested that we get the cd so they can hear it all the time ~ Heaven help me!

Funny Girl!

I look over to find Pumpkin at the sneak peek station at our library and had a LOL moment...

There she is with her little bear listening to some spinets of stories that are featured this month at the library.  I laughed out loud and was lucky enough to have my camera yesterday.

She found the story she liked while at the station and had to show it to Buddy Bear before we checked out.

Veggie Garden

We finally put our tiny veggies into our garden box. 

At Home Depot they had cedar raised garden bed kits and we thought that we would give it a go.  I am very surprised at how easy it was putting the garden box together and then getting dirty planting our little veggies. 

The fun part.... the girls will play in the yard and make mud pies till the cows come home but have them help me mix up the dirt and they go squealing to all corners of the yard ;)

Okay, I know... they look a little sad right now but you should see how perky they are today.  Per the recommendation from the guy at Home Depot we filled it with a mixture of miracle grow and top soil.  For every bag of miracle grow garden soil we added a bag of good ole top soil. 

So that is our garden and we are hoping that we have a good harvest of lovely veggies.
