This hit home that the goal is not about getting THINNER but HEALTHY. On my little adventure of getting fit I will have to be a role model , not a runway model, to our three girls.
Hubby getting prepped for minor surgery ~ Little munchkins running around the bed asking what all the levers, wires, and tubes were for. Pumpkin's major concern were shots.
A large book bag full of little activities for the girls to do. Our little rainbow in the waiting room made me smile :)
Starbucks in the lobby was greatly appreciated while waiting and keeping up to date on Hubby's status with our fancy pager.
A beautiful 2 story water fall in the lobby ~ the girls loved to look into the water and pretend to be mermaids. While I was driven to madness by the constant need to visit the girls roomfrom the 'relaxing' water sound.
Hubby is on the mend and right now enjoying working from home.
We wish everyone a great week and a terrific new year for all the kiddos starting back to class today like our Munchkins. { yup! I cried sending little Pumpkin to Kinder}
If your head tells you one thing and your heart tells you another, before you do anything decide first whether you have a better head or a better heart.
Week 3 started yesterday with our second fit test and it was met with a little road block. Hubby is slated to have surgery and was advised to stop cardio ~ no worries not a big surgery. However, I am going to be losing a workout buddy which we BOTH really really need for this intense program. So we made the decision to restart the program from the begin once he has cleared to start working out again.
But I did find a perfect little reminder that will keep me going in the mean time with little workouts till the program starts back up again
The count down to the first day of school has begun but what to do with the girls until then?!?!? It is summer and HOT here in Texas so indoor activities are a MUST. Well we came up with knitting since they noticed my unused needles in my work basket. Finger knitting is easy for little ones and cheap ~ all you need are their lovely little fingers and some yarn.
Gotta love Youtube ;) This was the easiest for my little visual learners to understand but there are many out there some different than this but all resulting in the same little tubular chain.
This is Pumpkin doing her best impersonation of a kitty ;)
She was so happy to learn how to Knit ;)
Squirt first to finish her lovely new scarf ;)
Peanut encouraging her sisters ;)
Pumpkin FINALLy done after having to start over a few times ~ fingers got caught in a huge knot o_o
Once I got them started they were off and having a blast ;) Now the girls have TONS of new scarves to wear for the first day of school ~ nothing like showing off a bit of personality and your own craftsmanship at the same time.
I am a stay at home mom looking to make the most of this adventure by trying my hand at photography, crafts, cooking, and teaching Japanese to the girls. Most importantly to make wonderful memories and bring back traditions with my three amazing daughters.
