Snails and Puppy Dogs tails....

Who said only little boys likes to play in the mud and with slimy snails?!?!?!  Pumpkin and I spotted this "Mommy" snail and just could not leave her on the sidewalk.  The whole time she was telling me all about how snails move and that they eat cabbage {The Cat in the Hat show is coming to be a little handy ;) }... then she asked where is the cabbage patch she is going to?!?   Pumpkin insisted that we bring her home to watch and show her sisters. I agreed on the condition that after her Daddy and Sisters saw the little gal we would let her go.

{one} what is your happiest childhood memory?

going to Mc Donald's after spending the day at the beach while Daddy (yup still call him Daddy) was stationed in Hawaii, so we went to the beach A LoT

 

{two} what is your middle name?Yukino
{three} what’s the habit you’re most proud of breaking?funny, I was just chatting online with Hubby about my realization that I was not the least bit sad about passing up a lovely chocolate cookie with icing for an apple with peanut butter... so I guess my bad habit of eating lots of junk


{four} what do you order when you order chinese food?

 number 10.... hunan chicken and shrimp without bell peppers ;)

{five} what’s the best bargain you’ve ever found at a garage sale or thrift store?i guess the book i got while in FL .... got a book for a 50 cents that turned out to be a great read and it earned a spot on my bookshelf
{six} what’s the best costume you’ve ever worn?my mom's handmade clown costume, weird since i have an irrational fear of those guys ;)
{seven} who’s your favorite game show host?do not have one
{eight} what’s your favorite breakfast food?

Autumn Greeting

Autumn is FINALLY here!!!!!

I got a crazy idea that it would be a wonderful thing for the girls to memorize poetry and passages so the first one we picked was a little poem appropriately titled Autumn Greeting....

"Come" said the wind to the leaves one day. 

"Come over the meadow and we will play, put on your dresses of red and gold.  

For Summer is gone and the days grow cold."

The girls are so sweet with their sing song voice and looking so proud that they can recite this without my help :) We are planning lots of fun pumpkiny (is that a word ?!?)  adventures and we hope that you will follow along ;)

I have to admit that I have taken a Mommy Vacay today.  All I did was snuggle, watch Nickjr, got lost in a book,  and relaxed with Pumpkin until it was time to get Squirt and Peanut from school.  Oh and I daydreamed about Patrizio Buanne's dreamy voice .....



And tried this for lunch....

1st Tomato Sandwhich  ... Yummy

Music Monday

Not sure what my dreams were or what but this morning I woke up with this song and I am still humming this little ditty...




A slow music week  for me as you can tell and so far, despite all my efforts, I have not been able to get this song replaced with another. 

Well I know what I am going to do today !  Find a way to remove this song from my memory and some new music to share with you guys next week :)

Nothing comes to mind... very boring straight laced kinda girl ;)

3 - What is the most recent thing someone has said/done to you that left you picking your jaw up off of the floor.
Hubby most of the time says things that will leave me just wondering why I ever married him then he comes and gives me a hug and all is better.

4 - Do you have a moment where you gained clarity about your life?
Still looking out of a foggy glass but the view is clearing.

5 - What are you doing to achieve your biggest dream?
Waking up every morning with a smile ... how else should you start the day when all you dream about is being the best Mommy and Mrs.'s to the greatest bunch of kiddos and Hubby in the world.  Sappy I know!  But true.

Blur

It hit me  after seeing an old photo of Pumpkin that the days are turning into weeks and the weeks into months ~ time is flying by me in a frantic hectic blur

First I got really sad then I  remembered to BREATH and enjoy the little things in my happy little life.

Maybe I can slow down time and have a closer relationship with the girls if I remember NURTURE their interests in all things ....

 no matter how full my pockets are every morning with their little finds or silly I think them to be

And to be in the NOW no matter how messy, noisy,chatty, giggly, and wiggly it can get.

my girls as soon as we get home .... I would not trade this view for anything in the world!

{one} what was your first pet and how did you come up with its name? My first pet was a pupper dog named Bear... he looked like a big ole cuddly teddy bear ;)

Simplicity Photo Challenge ~ Snapshot

The challenge this week is Snapshot...

Pumpkin put together the craziest outfit yet and I had to get a quick photo, lucky for me it came in handy to submit for this photo challenge ;)  By the way her face kinda shows what mine looked like when I saw her come down the stairs.

My Day....

The girls were a riot today after school all due to the ever popular Cootie Catcher!!!  Pumpkin calls it a Cootie Cutter LoL ;)  Squirt was given one today and had to share with her sisters and play on the way to the library.  It looked a little like this ;)

 

It was so much fun to hear them playing, sharing and giggling in the car ... Definitely one of those I Love Being a Mom Today Day ;)

1. Do you wear socks to bed?
NO!  Can not stand socks on my feet.... there is a No shoe rule at our house and well if I am not wearing shoes why would I wear socks ?!?!

2. Do you have any pets?
Yes ;)  One basinji  named Mufasa and he likes to think he IS the king in our house ;)

3. What topping(s) do you like on your pizza?

Mushrooms and Canadian Bacon 

4. What time do you go to bed?
No set time.... try to get to bed before 11 pm

5. Would you rather get free chocolate for one year or free potatoes forever?
Easy!  Chocolate for a year!   I mean look at that and tell me you want potatoes and mean it ;)

Art in the Park

Very often I get GREAT ideas and for one reason or another I do not act or initiate them.  NoT today!!!!  Squirt LOVES art and I wanted to find a way to nurture this for her.   I would hate for this passion to fall by the way side as she grows older because I did not provide opportunities for her to develop/ enjoy art.  So Art in the Park was born and this is what it looked like....

No prompting necessary... they immediately went to work
